I'm receiving duplicate messages in Outlook

This is a known problem with some versions of Microsoft Outlook.

Sometimes it may be because you have more than one copy of Outlook running.

To see if this is the case:

  • Save all your work in Outlook
  • Go to Task Manager by pressing the Control, Shift and Escape keys at the same time.
  • Close all running copies of Outlook except one, or
  • Close all running copies of Outlook and restart Outlook
